We value the development of the whole person and encourage our student athletes to grow as leaders to the best of their ability through the LPS Athletic Program. 

As a Texas charter school, Leadership Prep School receives state funds but the school receives 15% less than independent school districts. Not only that, but LPS and other charter schools do not receive funds from local tax revenue. Unfortunately a persistent funding gap exists between charter schools and independent school districts.  With that said, even though LPS receives state funds, our LPS Athletic Program does not receive state or local funds.  WE, the LPS Athletic Booster members (parents, coaches, student athletes, and fans) MUST raise all of the money needed for our athletic program to survive and thrive. 

The $100 Athletic Fee per student per sport is the only fee the LPS Athletic Program charges; unfortunately, the sum of this fee does not even cover the coaches' stipends and league fees for each of our sports' teams to participate.
